Lymm Festival: Art in the Garden - 2011
I acted as curator this year alongside Su Williams who owns the garden. This was my first bit of curating experience and I was really excited because this is a possible career path I could pursue.
Su mentioned that she was trying to branch out further a field every year in terms of artists and I had previously been in contact with ClearVision; a company that supplies a library of books for blind and deaf children. They are based in London and they very kindly sent us some examples, leaflets and information to hold in the garden for the whole week. They received a lot of interest and I was happy to have thought of something a bit different for the visitors to look at.

The piece to the right was Su's idea and was designed mainly for the children to get stuck in and create their own artwork. It was an amazing idea and worked wonderfully! I worked with the children to build this nest structure and they were so proud of themselves when we'd finished. Hopefully it has inspired some creativity in them!

- Labelling
- Meeting artists expectations in terms how a piece of work was to be stored or presented
