A glove i made and embroidered on to for easy and quick mark making. I was recreating sounds visually and trying to do this as I heard them.

This piece was developed from a series of samples testing the qualities and design of an ordinary fabric plaster. I wanted to change the purpose of the plaster from something functional to something decorative and ended up with a very textured surface piece.

This is one of the many ways I experimented with drawing plasters. I wanted to show the contrast in materials and the ways they were made and used a mirco-scope to depict this accurately.

This is probably more of a collage but I was trying to find ways to simplify the shapes a textures of another 3D paper piece I had made from an earlier project without using paper. - (made using brown tape, black marker and sand paper)

In this drawing I was experimenting with depth and only selected a few lines to highlight as a way of emphasising this.

Here I was looking at angles that occure when lines are entended from objects into the space around them. The lines cross eachother multiple times creating a mass of centre points from which angles can be measured. I measured all of angles using the basic rules of geomerty only.

Here is an example of the kind of experiments I did using the plasters to test how they reacted with skin and "blood" (I used red paint to make my point clear). This was one of ways I tested their function and purpose so that I could change it successfully.

This is very early work that was based around a match box. I was trying to construct a structure that could fit inside the box but would also extend once opened. These are some of my initial ideas.

These are some of the later stages in development.

Drawing using different materials and techniques. Struggled at first but this is one of my favourites.
