ArtAnon Fundraiser
ArtAnon was formed during a fundraiser for the BA(Hons) Embroidery graduates of 2013. A committee was formed to advertise and collect postcard sized donations to auction off on an exciting event night. This project succeeded in raising enough money for a professional artistic programme and business cards to hand out to potential clients and employers.
As a secretary of the committee I was involved in key organisational aspects of the project. The beauty of this auction was that all of the donations were anonymised. A mix of students, emerging artists and established artists and designers kindly donated their work to be auctioned, but the public were encouraged to bid on pieces they preferred artistically rather than because of the name attached to it.
The auction was so successful in raising funds and engaging with so many people that we wanted to continue work with ArtAnon! And our journey began after graduation...
